Trip attendees included Richard Hopkins, Sharon Meagher, and Rachel Batch from Widener University; Peter Rykard, Ron Starr, and Aigner Cleveland from the City of Chester, Laurie Zierer, Imahni Ellison, Chris Rogers and Jen Danifo from PHC; Alex Gilliam of the Public Workshop; and Devon Walls, Kenya Abdul- Hadi, and L. Ward from the Artist Warehouse.

Artists and advocates who met the Chester Made team in Chicago, IL and Gary, IN included N. Davina Stewart, Naomi Millender, Raymar Brunson, Corey Hagelberg, Jan Tichy, Renee Hatcher, Walter Nelson Jones, Theaster Gates, Joseph Van Dyk, Angel Ysaguirre and Jane Beachy.

Time in Chicago and Gary allowed for observing the arts and humanities at work in other cities and group reflections about what the goals of the Chester Made project will be.

This was the first of three exchanges, the next taking place in fall 2017 with artists, activists, and educators from Gary, IN and the latest in winter 2018 with Chicago artist Theaster Gates and Detroit City Planner Kimberly Driggins.
